The list is a big one:

Before thanking anyone, I want to thank God for enlightening me and making the school a possible dream; for giving me health, and for being a source of inspiration when I felt down.

At QTC, we want to give special recognition to all the big masters for opening the way, including my Master: Jorge Luis Avendaño.

Special thanks to Jennifer Throo and Miguel Garcia, who personally helped me so much with paperwork and so on. Special thanks to Jennifer for her dedication to changing the image of the school, her designs, creativity, and unconditional support for the school.

​

I also effusively thank my wife, Gloria Rodríguez, who for more than 30 years has given me the necessary support to be able to carry the school forward. Sometimes my wife and children—Claudia, Lorena, Stephanie, and Ruben—have had to make sacrifices when my busy schedule has taken me away from home. It has not been easy and I will always be grateful to my family for their unconditional love and support when I needed it most. This is another reason why this project has a special meaning for me: because it reflects the work of many hours that could have been enjoyed as a family.

My thanks also extend to the instructors at my school: Maestro William Perlaza, whom I have known since 1975 when he was a white belt; to Maestro Gustavo Naranjo and Juan Carlos Garcia who supported me for a long time. To Claudia Suarez who left a mark on our school with her enthusiasm and her particular method of training and now to Maria Mora who is our fundamental support for all classes at the Queens Taekwon-do Center. I also want to thank the parents and students who have put up with me and my passion for so long.

In a very personal way, I would like to thank Mr. Gabriel Acevedo, his wife Marica Acevedo, and their children for their support in the hardest moments of this journey. To our store owners, Jeff Pend and Dorian Peng for believing in us, their support at critical times has been instrumental in the growth of our school.

To the member schools, instructors, and students, thank you for your support and participation.

Antes de agradecerle a nadie, quiero darle las gracias a Dios todo poderoso por iluminarme y hacer posible la culminación de este manual; por brindarme la salud, y por ser fuente de inspiración cuando me siento decaído.

Queremos dar un reconocimiento especial a todos los Maestros del Taekwon-do por abrir camino a la ITF en los diferentes paises. 

Un agradecimiento especial a Jennifer Throo y Miguel García, quienes han ayudado mucho en la documentación de la academia; especial a Jennifer por su dedicación en cambiar la imagen de la escuela, sus diseños,  creatividad e incondicional apoyo para con la escuela.

También un agradecimiento efusivamente a mi esposa, Gloria Rodríguez, quien por más de 30 años me ha brindado el apoyo necesario para poder llevar esta empresa adelante. A veces mi esposa y mis hijos—Claudia, Lorena, Stephanie y Rubén—han tenido que hacer sacrificios cuando mi horario ocupado me ha llevado lejos del hogar. No ha sido fácil y siempre estaré agradecido a mi familia por su amor y apoyo incondicional cuando lo necesitaba más. Esta es otra razón por la que este proyecto tiene un significado especial para mí: porque refleja el trabajo de muchas horas que pudieron haber sido disfrutas en familia.

Mi agradecimiento se extiende también a los instructores de mi escuela: Maestro, William Perlaza, quien conozco desde el año 1975 cuando él era un cinturón blanco; al Maestro Gustavo Naranjo y a Juan Carlos Garcia quienes por mucho tiempo estuvieron apoyándome. A Claudia Suarez quien dejó huella en nuestra escuela con su entusiasmo y su particular método de entrenar y ahora a Maria Mora quien es nuestro apoyo fundamental para todas las clases de Queens Taekwon-do Center. También quiere agradecer a los padres, estudiantes quien durante tanto tiempo han soportado mis constantes cambios.

De forma muy personal agradecer a don Gabriel Acevedo, su Esposa Marica Acevedo y a sus hijos por su apoyo en los momentos mas duros de este camino. A nuestro dueño del local Jeff Pend y Dorian Peng por creer en nosotros y su apoyo en momentos críticos han  sido fundamental para el crecimiento de nuestra escuela.

Para las escuelas miembros, instructores, y estudiantes, gracias por su apoyo y participación.
